But are you using that power?
It’s been through my own personal journeys with challenges and triumphs that I have come to consciously recognise just how powerful every individual is in determining the quality of the life they lead.
I believe wholeheartedly what Caroline Myss says:
Recognise that you postpone even small, insignificant changes because intuitively, you know they can ignite powerful ones.
Taking accountability and owning personal power is scary. And knowing that taking even the smallest step in a different direction can lead to much, much bigger changes, that’s also scary. So, it’s much easier to do nothing, and leave the power of change in the hands of something or someone else. That way, we can blame those when things go wrong.
This intuitive knowledge of our own power to ignite change is something that we all have. I believe we are born with it. It’s part of our spirit. It’s just that most of us don’t want to acknowledge it because it means that we’d have to also acknowledge that we are accountable for the results of any changes we make or don’t make.
So, pay attention to your response when the opportunity arises to do something different, even if it is making a really small change. Do you find yourself resisting making even the smallest changes? Pay attention to that response and explore what’s behind that resistance.
You know how powerful you are. Perhaps it’s time to start owning and using that power.
