What if I were to tell you that your fears are your most powerful guiding light? I’m guessing your response might include words such as “are you insane?”
Ah, well. No. I’m not insane. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’m right.
The thing that we fear doing most is usually the thing that we most need to do. These are very wise words from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
It’s because addressing that one, most terrifying thought that only lives in your mind, will force you outside of our comfort zone.
The comfort zone, well… it feels so comfortable, so why leave it? You might believe that it is a nice, safe, cozy place. But, it’s also the place that keeps you from reaching your full potential. The comfort zone might be a nice place to enjoy from time to time, but it is also the place that stifles your creativity, your desires and frankly, your life.
So, if you want to create change in your life, you need to address that big-ticket item that you think is stopping you. The thing you are most fearful of doing is exactly the thing you need to do. And the only way to address your fear head-on and clear it from your mind is to take action.
Do the thing you are most fearful of. Because once you have done that, you will have conquered that fear and you will be free of it. It will no longer have any hold over you.
