Imagination is everything!

This week’s message is a simple one and can be summed up by a famous quote by Albert Einstein:

“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”

You see, everything that has been created by humans has come from imagination.

Think about it.  The clothes you are wearing, the chair you are sitting on, every technology that you use in your daily life – all of these things were first imagined before they were created.

The same applies to creating our lives, whether that be on the kind of day we want to have or the future lives that we would truly love to live.

As my coaching mentor, Mary Morrissey, constantly says:  “Everything is created twice. First in the mind and then in the physical.”

Or put another way, it must first exist the land of the imagination before it can exist in the land of form.

As children, we lived in the land of imagination. Everything was possible.  Unfortunately, as we grew, we were taught to stop imagining and to only focus on knowledge of things already known.

But there is so much more that is yet to be created – it is just waiting to first be imagined.

You have a life right now and there are areas that are great, and there are probably areas where you feel some discontent or some longing.  You can continue to accept those feelings of longing and discontent or, you can start exercising your imagination muscles – picturing what your life would look like if those areas of longing and discontent were addressed.  Just imagine it. What would you be doing?  What would you be feeling?

Remember, everything is created twice.  There is so much more that is yet to be created – it’s just waiting to first be imagined.
