When things in life aren’t going the way you want them to, do you become proactive in creating the changes you need or do you choose to wait for other people or events and circumstances around you to change?
If you do the latter, you aren’t alone. That’s how many people operate. However, that’s not how life works.
Nothing in life is guaranteed.
Whatever you do, you can never be sure that it will work out just the way you want it to. Now, for many people, that’s a scary proposition because they operate from the position where they want guarantees before they step out and to try something new.
However, I believe that the far scarier proposition is to sit back and keep things as they are when you aren’t happy with the way things are. Choosing to remain in unhappiness is a choice. Waiting for other people or for circumstances and events around you to change is also a choice. But will either of those choices give you the changes you want in life?
If you want to see change in your life, it’s up to you to make a change. Sure, there is a chance that it might not work out, but there is also the chance that things will work out.
Do nothing and keep your life as it is. If you love your life the way it is, then that’s great. But if you want something different, then as Zig Ziglar wisely said:
You must make the choice to take a chance if you want anything in life to change.
