Welcome to the fabulous New Year!
I truly hope that this is the year that brings you all that your heart desires.
Not surprisingly, many of us have made a resolution to take better care of our health. Perhaps we’ve made a promise to get more exercise, or maybe we’ve decided to embark on a sensible diet.
Getting healthy physically is a fantastic resolution. Getting conscious about what food we accept into our bodies in order to feel better physically is a key step.
But what about our mental, emotional and spiritual diets?
Just as we need to keep watch over what we let into our bodies to ensure our physical health and wellbeing, we also need to be vigilant about what we let into minds and spirits.
Maintaining a healthy mind and strong spirit follows the same principles as maintaining a strong, healthy body:
Cut out the junk and fill up on nutrition.
What we expose ourselves to via the media, social media, movies, books, or even the people we hang out with can really help build up our mental, emotional and spiritual health, or, these things can cause harm.
So, how do you assess the positive or negative impact of the things that you are exposing yourself to? By paying attention how those things leave you feeling.
Are you left feeling vibrant and energised, or are you left feeling down, worried, scared or simply carrying a more negative perspective of the world?
It’s up to you to choose what you want to fill yourself up with, but remember, your wellbeing is determined by how you feel physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. So why not take this opportunity to change more than just your food choices and also become more discerning about how to build an even stronger and healthier you this New Year.
Happy New Year!
