We all have the ability to use our imaginations and visualise our day, our week or even our life. Our imagination is an incredibly powerful tool in creating our reality so it’s in our best interest to pay attention to what it is we are imagining.
This quote by Uell Stanley Andersen captures this concept clearly:
“Everything which you can conceive and accept is yours! Entertain no doubt. Refuse to accept hurry or worry or fear. That which knows and does everything is inside you and harkens to the slightest whisper.”
I have this quote stuck to my bathroom mirror so that I can be constantly reminded on the incredible power of the mind and the imagination.
I’ve always read it in the positive – visualising the things I’d love to manifest in my life. However, this same power can be applied in the negative.
How often do we think about our day, imagining the stressful day we are about to have, or picturing something terrible happening to our kids when they get behind the wheel of the car? What about going for that job interview and thinking about how we’d feel if we didn’t get it? Or, deciding to giving that new diet a go, but thinking that, as always, you won’t stick to it.
Well, “…That which knows and does everything is inside you and harkens to the slightest whisper”.
Pay attention to the whispers – the quiet thoughts – your imaginings, as these are your creations in the making.
