The resonance of our thoughts and words

In a previous blog I quoted Eleanor Roosevelt, saying that “All the water in the world cannot drown you unless it gets in”.

That quote got me thinking more deeply about water and about references I’d heard made about a doctor called Masaru Emoto and his experiments with water.

Doctor Masaru Emoto took samples of water from different sources all over the world and conducted experiments where he froze water droplets and spoke different words over them.  He then photographed the results.

His experiments showed that words spoken over the frozen droplets had a remarkable effect – both positive and negative – depending on the words used.

Words of love, kindness, gratitude and peace created intricate, beautiful crystals, whilst words of abuse and hate created ugly and deformed shapes.

I watched a number of different interviews with Doctor Emoto and he not only referenced speaking positive and negative words to affect the water, he also spoke of simply physically labelling water with positive and negative words as having the same impact, based on the energetic resonance created.

Well, that’s interesting information, but what has it to do with our lives?

Well, given that our bodies are made up of at least 70% water, can you imagine what our words and our internal labels are doing to us?

Our internal voice never ceases and studies have shown that the vast percentage of internal commentary is negative.

Take a moment to think about what you are thinking about.   Just listen.  What is it that you are saying to yourself, about yourself?

Thoughts aren’t simply images in your mind, you are actually speaking your own thoughts, in words, to yourself.

Take a few moments to watch the video – it’s striking to watch – and now think about what your internal dialogue is doing to you.

Now do you see what these water experiments have to do with our lives?

Perhaps it’s time to change that internal dialogue.
